TREKKING TOUR

5 – 15 August 2024 | Tynset, Norway

A long distance backpacking hike in the varied landscape of inland Norway. Experience a unique wilderness trek, roam freely through pristine nature, enjoy sitting at campfires and staying overnight under the open starry sky. Immerse into the deep calm and powerful magic of unspoiled nature and connect deeply with nature.

A Varied Trek

with Camping and Campfire

On this wilderness trek we immerse into the magic nature of Nord-Østerdalen with its enchanted forests and highlands. No day is like the other. Once we hike on small paths in the majestic mountain tundra, once we follow along game trails, streams or lakeshores in the boreal forests, just where our curiosity draws us. We experience the Canyon Jutulhogget, the ‘giant gorge’ with an incredible history of origins, from very different perspectives. With a little luck we will encounter moose or other animals.

On the trek we move at an altitude of 700 to 1100 m most of the time, sometimes above, sometimes below the tree line. Strenuous passages alternate with leisurely stretches. During breaks we simply enjoy the silence of nature or we spend time with activities about nature awareness or tracking. A rest day in the course of the tour invites us to sink even deeper into the silence, or to let curiosity lead us to further discoveries.

In the evening, we build camp hidden in the woods. To protect our sleeping spots and the fireplace from the weather we set up tarps as needed. Omnipresent streams provide water of drinking quality. We share dinner and enjoy the evening hours together around the campfire until we go to sleep under the sparkling stars.
